World Environment Day

Today, 5th of June, we celebrate the World Environment Day. A very important date to focus efforts and motivate people, communities and businesses to sustainable development and care for the environment.  

Each year a central theme is chosen to commemorate World Environment Day. In 2023, the chosen campaign theme is "No Plastic Pollution". 

According to the United Nations: "Every year more than 400 million tons of plastic are produced worldwide, and it is believed that half of this material is designed for a single-use life. Less than 10% is recycled”.

For Bullpadel it is very important to develop actions to reduce plastic consumption and be an increasingly sustainable brand. Therefore, we have teamed up with Repreve, the number one company in the world of high-performance recycled fiber, and we have created a textile line based on sustainability. With the recycled fibres from 9 bottles, we have managed to manufacture a T-shirt. In total, we have created 10,950 pieces of clothing and recycled 98,550 plastic bottles. 

In the future, we want to expand our sustainable processes and use recycled fabrics to reduce the consumption of plastic, both in transport and in labelling and decorations.
